    Paphiopedilum haynaldianum var laurae

Lovely bloom. The dorsal colouring is spectacular!
  2. T

    hennisianum in-situ

Lovely series of pictures. It is so seldom that we see this species cultivated and bloomed in collections. It is a difficult question, leave, relocate or collect? I am sure answers would be different on open forum from reality.:)

    Paphiopedilum superbiens x St Swithin

Some of my favorite plants in my collection are from this type of breeding. There may be some horrid results, but the successes are sublime! This is, simply, ..... Lovely!

    Paph Honey

The truth! Good clone too, congrats

    Paph parishii preview

I am hoping you will get so much seed you will consider sharing some with us in SA:)

    Paph dayanum the hugger

Great photographs Rick! Lovely that the unique attitude has remained true

    superbiens var. curtisii

Good shape and strong colour. That's a cool clone!

    Paph wardii 'Royale' HCC/AOC

    What a display! Well done!

    tonsum

I have tried to take more pictures over the last few seasons, but unfortunately prior to that I seldom did. I am unsure how many remain still to bloom. :rollhappy:

    Paph. St. Swithin

    Good looking plant, welcome!

    tonsum

Rick, this plant is 4 years out of flask. I bred it from my clones 'Antisana' x 'Thorin'. I only managed to get a few plants from the pod (struggled very badly with contamination, ... The very early days of my flasking attempts were not very successful)

    tonsum

Thanks all. I can't comment on its ease of culture. I have been absent from my grow area for a while, so I guess it has grown and bloomed with very little assistance from myself.

Wow, Rick, that. Is a show stopper! Odd how this species never got the attention that it deserves (almost as if it was very common and not deemed worthy of attention?)

    Paph liemianum

A firm favorite of mine! The combination of HOT pink and chilly lime green is what dreams are made of. (Warm, warm, warm and shady wet with good air movement) one of the species that does not want a winter holiday!

    Cool!

Drink more red wine and the floor is the best place to view your blooms from!(?):)

    Paph dayanum #3

Well grown plant Rick! Great pouch colour on that bloom. Did this come from Michael and Ben?
  17. T

    tonsum

First of the season, nice spike length (62cm), fair shape and colour
  18. T

    barbatum and callosum

These two species are very interbred (both naturally as well as nursery). I can comment too much on the callosum, but the barbatum is about as 'barbatum' as can be expected. Shape and segment proportion is strongly characteristic. A nice barbatum.

    Paph tonsum

Small plant with a comparatively good sized bloom. I have found that first bloom seedlings can be small (ie tonsum can bloom on a very small plant first time round. My finding has been that if they do, they tend to struggle after the first blooming) How big is the bloom?

    Paph ID Lady Isabel??

Strongly St. Swithin, but as already pointed out a more complex cross cannot be excluded. Stunning bold dorsal markings and good colour, ... Looking good!
