Mr. Canh inspired me to post one more in-situ photos after looking at the micranthum pictures. So here you go.

These photos are taken by my friend Miguel.

A little back story. At the time these photos were taken. The trees that covers up most of the area has been logged and cleared. The big trees that used to cover them has felled down and these plants are now exposed in sun all day hence the colour of the plants. We kinda knew that eventually that the site will be cleared but left the plants there.

I just got some sad news that they now burnt the whole area including these plants for clearing to build some infrastructure.

What would you have done if you were in the situation?

Love them all, but #4 is my favorite flower.

Well, knowing that the site would be cleared, I would have either just left them there like you did (most likely) hoping that one seed pod would spread seeds all over, or transplant them somewhere nearby where they might be safe from clearing. I don't know.

It's all the common sad story. Oh, well...

Thanks for the pictures though.

Very nice photos, I do hope this year I can manage to make more photo of some other species that I missed last year.

Your friend takes really nice pics. Hopefully this was not the only known location for the species, right?

So sad to hear of such beautiful plants being destroyed needlessly. I probably would have tried to rescue at least a couple.
Thanks for the photos.

Lovely series of pictures. It is so seldom that we see this species cultivated and bloomed in collections. It is a difficult question, leave, relocate or collect? I am sure answers would be different on open forum from reality.:)
