    Some Dends.

Gorgeous! I'd be thrilled to grow these half as well as you do. What's living on the clay pipe behind Den. crepidatum?

Orchid Zone caudatum now in flower

So nice! Great job blooming both at the same time, too. These ought to be even more spectacular in a few years.

    Paph delenatii

Gorgeous, David! Superb growing and photography.

    Phalaenopsis lowii

    Beautiful species!

    Inexpensive kovachii

Sell it! I'd buy it if I had any money. Lance, why do you say this is a weak plant that wouldn't survive in the wild? Looks pretty healthy to me even with a wonky first bloom. Besides, even 'weaker' individuals often carry genes that are valuable to maintain in a population. If we're...

K-Lite has been around a few years now... updates?

Oh, I wasn't offended, just disappointed by your blatant misapprehension of what I've actually claimed. Perhaps you mistake me for someone arguing for K-Lite? And yes, 'glib' is a far more accurate description than 'succinct', as the latter implies a certain useful density of content that I...

Paph dianthum 'Rajani' ACE/AOC - AOC Culture of the Year Award 2014

Congratulations, David! You and your superb dianthum have well earned your place on that distinguished list!

    That is amazing!

Gorgeous! How long from flask to flowers?

    Lc. Interceps 'Gran Chris' HCC/AOS

Elegant flower! Must be a satisfying plant to grow, too, if it's even half as tough and vigorous as its parent species.

    Phalae mariae

Thanks, Rick and Angela. I've killed a few Phals with my winter low temps, but others didn't mind at all and even the late ones seemed fine until about 45 F. Angela, you're right on about some of the smaller species; the easiest in my poorly-controlled conditions have been lobbii, parishii...

    Podangis dactyloceras

    Beautiful, Dot!

K-Lite has been around a few years now... updates?

Please go back and re-read what I actually wrote, rather than incorrectly assuming I'm arguing for any side in this debate. My critique was of the procedural or methodological tone these discussions always seem to take, and did not address the relative merits of any particular position on the...

K-Lite has been around a few years now... updates?

The regrettable problem with this thread, as all others I've read on the subject, is that virtually every significant argument on BOTH sides is purely anecdotal, with very little contextual situation that might at least help us better evaluate the import of the various anecdotes. The nay-sayers...

    Phalae mariae

Nice flowers! How cool do you all grow your mariae in the winter? I love Phal species but my main growing area typically sees winter lows in the 40s F (5-10 C) for at least a few weeks, which some Phalaenopsis don't tolerate well.

    my tiny orchid collection

Nice collection! If your plants are on the young side, just remember that they'll get a lot bigger and make your greenhouse seem a lot smaller... :)

    Paph Lynleigh Koopowitz

Nice petal markings, IMO that'll be among the nicer LKs once the pouch figures itself out.

    Magic Lantern.

Beautiful! I really like the staminode, more yellow and more interesting pattern than on most MLs I've seen.

Your "To get list" - What is it

Yeah, not huge for the species but it's been a slow grower for me. I'll let you know the actual size once I get in there and clean it up, hard to tell right now with the moss overgrowth. I grow Isabelia virginalis next to Isa. pulchella in bright shade, both mounted and watered most days...
