First flowering for this as yet unnamed cross. Pouch and staminode are crooked but the colour is awesome. I hope the next bud develops normally.

Colors in the whole photo look over-saturated to me. Some cameras have setting you can change for color saturation. I'd check that out.

I do have trouble getting the right colour with this one. The flower opened a deep red, almost brown and gradually got bright red and very saturated. The next bud is coming up and I'll try again. Right now, it's raining on and off and it's been doing so for days.

Well after some more thinking I decided to take a break from working on my society's newsletter. It's all in french, so I can never help myself with english texts, unless I translate them and adapt them to our conditions.
Here's another attenpt. The photo has been taken in the greenhouse with natural lighting, or at least what there is of it. That's the right colour under this lighting, and it's quite close to the first pic which was taken when the flower was dripping wet from the rain.

The colour would be hard to capture I think, but the red is delicious!
