Almost time! P. caudatum

I picked this caudatum up a while back at a very reasonable price due to some pretty bad mite damage on the leaves but it managed to put out this spike for me which I'm very happy about! I'll update when the blooms open.

Nice photo of a very important moment in the flowering cycle. I have never seen a Phrag go from bud to bloom.

Update!

Both flowers are now open and the petals have begun their descent, currently the petals are 11.5" long. It will be interesting to see how long the petals get, as I moved the plant from my high humidity grow area into the living room to enjoy the flowers. The photo was pretty over exposed but shows the petals nicely.
