As far as I am concerned, there's never too many phrags on this site. So keep sending their pictures. You don't give any name but it does look like a Michel Tremblay. In fact, we should have the name of the plant shown whenever possible. :)

Wow if it is schlimii it is pale! Has there ever been a schlimii v album found? This might be worth selfing to get even paler versions. Good show Lienluu!

Although when I check, Lien's bloom does look by manzurii. Hmmmm maybe I need to help him make more room for plants in his greenhouse! :p

It's in my greenhouse down in Ecuador. Mr. Manzur collected it from the same location that the original Phrag. manzuri was collected in. He says that in this location, side-by-side bloom two populations of "Phrag. manzuri". One group has the typical yellow petals like we have seen in the description photos and the second group blooms more what i call "schlimii-like", from what i have noticed, the petals of this form turn whiter as they mature. I'm not sure if the "yellow" population does this as well or not as I've not seen that one in person. The two different forms grow and bloom side-by-side according to Mr. Manzur.

Hmm another reason to go to the Ecuador show. Very nice Lien, once again your collection astounds me. BTW Dr. Rob, I am always available to take overgrown and unwanted besseae/fischeri/kovachii hybrids from Minnesota also! :D

My first impression was schlimii.
me too!

how exciting! It's as cute as can be! Is the plant size, foliage & bloom size similar to schlimi?
