Ants and dog food storage

Somebody help! We've had so much rain that anything
stored in unlocked containers are invaded by those tiny
pissants. We've already had to throw away 20 or so pounds of expensive dog food that the ants invaded. I
need a container that will hold 35 lbs. of dog food with
some kind of lid (maybe screw top) ants can't get into.
I've been searching amazon, etc. and have found nothing
suitable. Any suggestions appreciated.

Thank you for the suggestions. I finally found a screw top
container on amazon. I have the food in a Coleman Cooler
right now and fingers crossed until the new container
arrives. The snap top kind of containers don't work for
ants, Eric. Trust me on this.

Ramon, that's exactly what I ordered in the 50 lb. size.

How about Cambro? They make an assortment of styles and sizes and are used in the food service industry. I would think that the tops of these would be airtight.

We've had a ton of ants this year and getting good results killing with the old school TERRO.

But we already keep the dog food in plastic sealed containers, so they haven't been coming in for that.

Surprisingly have had very few ants in the GH, but was using a different bait system early this spring when they were traveling in the GH. But for some reason (maybe expired) they didn't work well in the kitchen.

Rick, I use Terro where I can without exposing any critters
other than ants. I haven't had ants in the GH either...maybe it's the
resident frog or that I spray Clorox around the inside foundation once
a week or so. My sweet frog has been in the GH for well over a year
and looks very fat and content.

Linus, that's exactly the container that I had the dog food in and the
ants managed to get in it in great numbers. Damned if I know how
they did it!
