Hello everyone,

I've come across this product that's made up of Basalt Rock Dust. Do you'll think this may be beneficial to add (a pinch or two) to the potting mix? Especially for Paphiopedilum that grow on/near Basalt rock outcrops.

I'm attaching the analysis of the rock dust below.

Nothing was attached, but basalts tend to be made up of various Ca-Mg-silicates. Is your watering and feeding regimen deficient?

I'm not quite sure why the file didn't upload the first time round. I've re-uploaded the file. I water with RO water, so it's quite deficient in minerals. And I thought this specific product with basalt rock dust would be a welcome addition.

It would only be a benefit if the minerals were in a soluble form, which I doubt.
The only minerals present that are not included in basic fertilizers are silica, aluminum and sodium. The silica dust is basically sand. Excess aluminum and sodium both are problematic in plant growth.
