C. canhamiana coerulea

Bought from blue cattleya on eBay at least ten years ago as an unflowered plant. Parentage is laelia(cattleya) purpurata coerulea x cattleya mossiae coerulea. It could be a seedling or mericlone. I’d favour a mericlone judging by the flowers.
20 flowers on four stems, the biggest growth has seven blooms.
It is severe need of a repot but that will have to wait until the flowers fade.
The colour is strong and very clear for a coerulea and there is a strong fragrance.

Update now that all twenty flowers are open. It’s one of the benefits of windowsill growing that quite often all the flowers face the same way!
This is easily the best flowering in ten years of growing,

It spends nine months of the year pressed up against the glass of a south facing window and then maybe in the greenhouse for a bit of the summer. It seems to like it. Nearly all the growth is made when indoors,
