With a name like Jillian Lee 'Hal' I thought it was a seedling and that it would look like the famous clone Rlc.Jesie Lee 'Hawaii' and you could imagine how shocked I was when it bloomed!

I could quickly find that Cattleya Jilian Lee was registered in 1994 and is made of only 3 species with coccinea being 50%. The pictures in Orchids Roots show red to lavender to orange. It is not AOS awarded.
It was a gift from a friend at the VOS and I thought it would be big, round, orange and frilly.
I brought it home and put it in the cattleya seedling bench. Never looked it up and 9 months later.
