Not much else to say... I love this flower. I was looking for a division of a good one but wasn’t having any luck so I bought this unbloomed plant a year ago. I think I lucked out with this one.

I love Heathii and don’t see many and wonder why.

Cattleya Heathii 1 was registered in 1907. I have the rubra form as shown above. Like so many of the original primary hybrids, it was used as a parent about 19 times and then probably forgotten as the rage for Cattleya cut flowers took over. It is only more recently that Heathii has been remade. I don’t think it has been awarded very much. I know that Orchids Limited (where I got my rubra one) has made a coerulea form as well that they have for sale.
Not a bad flower. Let's see next blooming about the lip.

Yours is a very nice flower also. I got mine from Silva Orchids in Neptune NJ
Hmmmm, if I could grow Catts I would go to Silva's for one this Spring.

The lip looked folded inwards on the sides in first pic (post #1) but in these two pics they opened up nicely. So it's all good.
Folded or curled lips in this breeding are not desirable.
