So this is a lueddemanniana escura ('Boa Vista' x 'Labelo Cheio'), from the Z-2598 cross, I purchased as a seedling in 2021 from AWZ Orquidea in Brazil. It flowered for the first time in April 2024, with 2 blooms.

Then it flowered again in July 2024 with 3 blooms.

And again this December 2024 with 3 blooms (this time the flowers were a bit deformed since the buds developed against the leave.)

Other than its easiness to bloom, the intense coloration of the flower and its exhilarating perfume, make this specie/clone a very desirable plant. Since having success with this specie, I ordered about 18 other crosses from AWZ 😅. Most likely I will fill my tropical orchard with those!

Stunning! Wonderful colour.
It’s such a great species to grow. It makes more new growths in succession than any other unifoliate. Several of mine are just starting to show buds in the sheath and this is their third growths of the year.
Plus it’s a small grower so great for anyone with limited space.
