IMG_1696.jpegIMG_1698.jpegProbably the last clone of my very late purpuratas to flower. This plant did grow well over last winter. It produced a nice new growth and then when this matured, promptly produced another from the new lead in the spring. Both bulbs are flowering and both have five blooms.
I’ll be tweaking the winter conditions and trying to keep it cooler and with a bit less light to see if they’ll bloom next year at a more usual time.

And now with all ten flowers! Love it. Carnea is my favourite colour form of this species.
David, the leaf and pseudobulb structure looks different on the two flowering growths, but I can’t see all of them. This would be the impact of your cultural change. Can you describe the difference for me?
