Marianne Heack s plant from Sweden. Mislabeled as trianaei Sangre de Toro, i think it is very different and special. I have thought but i don t want to influence your opinions. Any thought?😁😁😁FB_IMG_1714558157493_edit_193650609686311.jpg

My first thought when I saw this was a variety of Cattleya gaskelliana.
I thought that that species featured tubular lips, broader petals and slender sepals with rolled tips.
But I am probably wrong but it is still fun to guess!

Thanks for comments, i think is is a very dark form of mossiae.Flowering time, shape, pattern is the same as my tipo mossiae, but much darker. My tipo mossiae for comparison.Screenshot_20240430_210730.jpgScreenshot_20240430_210710.jpg

It’s beautiful, but I also am not convinced it’s a mossiae. I still see a lot of trianae in the flower.

I have tipo mossiae and saw few mossiaes, i would stand for my opinion, it is mossiae. But it is a forum to change our thoughts, opinions...Can you explain your opinions?
My arguments are: flowering time is ok, flower shape is ok, colour pattern is ok ( you can see the yellow color of the lip from outside!).FB_IMG_1714558157493_edit_31833582362897.jpgScreenshot_20240430_210730_edit_31860535152360.jpgThis lip is about Leslie 's plant:Screenshot_20240505_220751.jpgIMG_20240505_214910.jpgIMG_20240505_214834.jpg
