Awarded a Judges Commendation (JC) for the outstanding color combination, particularly the very dark flamea on the petals. It didn’t get a flower quality award as the petals were reflexed due to the soft velvety substance it takes mimicking the lip.

Nonetheless the recognition gives the plant an acknowledgment in the judging system, which I feel is very fair.

Bred by Wakayama Orchids, this moniker name is referenced to the two eyes of the petals to anthropomorphically resemble the cute panda.

An interesting note to this genetics is that the plant may flower without flamea in another bulb at the same time.

NS 12.5 cm.

Pretty one despite by the reflexed petals.
Leslie, nice to read again from you ... I noticed you were off for more than 2 months.
I was so busy with work and travel, then I moved into a new place and still trying to set up the orchid area. It’s a mess now but hopefully in a couple months they will be stable. But I’m baccck!

In fact I’ll be going to the Japan Tokyo Dome show in 3 weeks! Maybe I’ll see some of you there?
