I wonder if you can get that in 1st generation, or whether this is the result of a sib cross....I would have assumed double dark factor maudiaes are recessive?

The ones I've seen (maudiae x delenatii crosses) have tended to be more "hot pink" in color. The dark color is very dramatic.
