That dorsal is also very wide for a concolor (from the few I have actually seen). That is amazing.......very different to the ones I have seen in photos and shows.

:drool::drool:So there can be that much variance, I don't think I've ever seen a straight concolor like this, it's LOVELY but it does lose some of it speciness. I lokk forward to #2!

Interesting indeed. Most concolor seem more tall head to toe, than broad shoulder to shoulder. Are you sure someone other than Mr. Concolor didn't get into those genes?

That is what I thought at first sight. But even if the Mr is not a concolor, it is a very nice plant.

Well, this is Yellow & Round x Triple Delight cross. from Sam Tsui. but I have never had more than one flower on a spike with my concolor's. Maybe it also depends on growing conditions.

Even Sam has had mislabeled plants. It happens. Why I wondered wasn't so much the shape, but the spotting. But I guess there can be a lot of variation.

it does at first glance not look like a true concolor but i know sam has done a lot of line breeding with that species so i wouldnt be surprised. extremely variable species too.

it looks like concolor in the photo, if it was the hybrid, likely it would be a larger plant & flower.
