I was inspired to post my little cooperi after seeing Jim's gorgeous Cycnoches loddigesii. This one joined the collection last autumn while it was in bloom, but I didn't get a chance to get a photo since it wilted so quickly. But this time I was ready with the camera!

Very nice! I just love how unique and different the flowers are in the Catasetinae family :D

very nice colours... let it grow and get stronger, and you will have a magnific bloom... this species can make ver yimpressive displays when large enough...

How long do the blooms last? These are new to me and I find them really interesting and beautiful!

I do appreciate the encouragement, I find that this one is a slower than the Cycnodes Wine Delight, but I trust in time that it will come into its own. This bloom is a little larger than the previous one, so that is a step in the right direction.
It was recently repotted into a sphagnum moss/fir bark/perlite mix and it's rooting out very nicely so I'm hoping to see a larger pseudobulb this year.

Hera, I’m hardly an expert since I’ve only had a Cycnodes in the collection for a couple years, but they don’t seem hard to grow. This bloom lasted probably about three weeks but Wine Delight does bloom a little longer.
