seems like some Parthenocissus in the first picture....it would be a shame to see invasives in such an otherwise pristine environment. These reginae are beautiful - thanks for sharing all your pix - like being there without having to put miles on the car :)

Actually, the Virginia Creeper (Parthenocissus quinquefolia) is native to our woodlands/forests in Minnesota. In fact I usually see it most often in healthy, rich forests. I've not seen it have the damaging effects I've heard of it having in other parts of the country.
