Not an orchid.. But thought I would share what was in surprise bloom this morning in the wife's office...

Very nice. I have Echinopsis 'King Midas's named as it is a similar colour to this cultivar.

They are epiphytes but definitely cacti. Many epiphytes aren't orchids and many orchids aren't epiphytes.

Very not fragrant. No matter how hard I tried :/

That is one complex, beautiful bloom...and it appears spikeless. That's a
blessing with cacti.
