Hi
I would like to know in general, whether it is the light or low night temperatures which is the crucial factor in promoting flowering in Paphs. We here in India (Southern Part) have no issues with adequate light in our GH but if the critical factor is low temperature then that might be a limiting one. Even in winter we hardly see a week of 15-16 C at the most. Can anyone shre their experience on this, Thank you

Paph species are from different habitats. There are cooler growers and there are warm to hot growers, and o/c things in between...
Some need a cool temperature in winter to set buds, some need stronger light, some like lower light, and some need a big temperature drop at night daily... it all depends on the specific species.
If the growing condition is mostly hot and humid, most of the multi-floral species or hybrids should do well in such a condition, or species from lower elevations.
