Hello all! I recently joined this forum to get some insight on paph culture so that I could stop pestering Rick (Slipperking) every month at our local orchid society meetings. I've been growing orchids indoors for two years now and have seen the paphiopedilum population in my home expand at an alarming rate. Since starting with 10 species plants purchased from Graham Wood at Lehua and promising myself that I would stick to just species until I was confident that I could keep them alive, I have become emboldened and waded into the dark world of hybrids as well. Somehow the 10 paphs turned into 50.
This year I'm focused on not just keeping them alive, but growing them well, particularly the roots. Thank you for providing such a great resource and enabling my addiction.
