A new Phragmipedium primary that I made a few years ago has bloomed that had not yet been registered (I did register it two weeks ago).

Can you guess the parents?

Okay. Hmmmm? I was editing my guess as you were posting your reply; but, I presume that the one correct parent is sargentianum (lindleyanum v. sargentianum). The other one has me stumped.

I like the name! Are you going to cross it to anything? And if so, what would you expect? ( ie if you cross it to a besseae or a JF, would the red dilute or intensify?)

Yes, the two crosses that I would make with this guy, is onto besseae and onto Phrag. popowii (warszewiczii) I think this hybrid will intensify the colors on both those species.

What about onto vittatum? I bought one of these when Jason was up here last. I was worried that it would grow into a huge thing, but seeing the flower, I'm very impressed. And I remember the price being very reasonable.

That would be a good cross too! Unfortunately we don't have any blooming sized vittatum's at the moment.
