Normally I just let my habenaria go dormant and keep them in the pots... But this year I need space so I was planning on just storing them as tubers.

Anybody do this? I was wondering what best practice was. Refrigerator? Just room temp in the dark?

I used to let them dry out then put them in plastic bags, until they started up next season. Since Im growing them again, this year I'm going to just leave them open and move them somewhere we watercress.

I also let mine dry slowly in pots and store in cool, dry basement. HOWEVER, read Sarah’s culture sheet. She is an awesome, award-winning grower and major propagator. Ignore her advice at your plants’ peril. Her bagging technique saves about 95% of the space. Trade off is you need to pay close attention at sprouting time.
