appletonianum var hainanense Fox Valley AM/AOS x sib. These came out of the flask in early 2012. This is the first to bloom. The flower has a spread of 10 cm and the plant has a leaf span of about 20 cm.

Yes I agree. I am looking forward to mine though my plants have different foliage than yours. I see no buds yet on mine though.

That is one big bloom! Awesome job. Sounds like a vigorous one!!

It will likely be in a display at a show in Cincinnati in a few weeks, but it needs a few years before anything more than ribbon judging. I do think it has promise, so I am going to keep it for a while.

That is one of the best coloured clones I have seen and wonderful shape as well. Definitely award potential. Just two years. Great growing.

I should have let you know how these turned out. They were all good growers and all about the same size, except for this one, which was just a little larger. I don't recall needing to cull very many weak plants and I didn't have any bacterial or fungal problems. They seem to be hardy, easy to grow and bloom plants. I'm happy with the results.
