If it helps you, earlier this summer I positioned one Phalaenospis giagantea flowering size (that I had grown from a young plant), one Aerangis ellisiim and one Aeranthes grandiflora outside for the summer, and by an error in my calculations they ended up in the full midday sun, and for several hours, at temperatures well above 30C, instead than in bright shade. Before I realised the mistake, several days had passed. You can imagine the status of the plants.

PS: What substrate are you using for re-potting?
Oh! You reminded me of one of my first big oopses; (sigh) before I headed to work, I put a nice phal bellina and a few other orchids possibly including a laelia speciosa underneath a south facing steps overhang, and fastened some white remay fabric up as a sunscreen, and went to work. When I came home I saw it had been breezy, and the fabric had blown away. The bellina leaves resembled the color of straw :(
