These two Disa unifloras do not have that "hurt your eyes" very intense colour; but, I still love them. The colour reminds me of the cream-sicles I loved as a kid. It was white vanilla ice-cream coated in orange coloured and flavoured frozen juice. Mmmmmm....yummy! Total junk-food crap; but, what a treat! :p

Thank you all.

Very nice color John. Are they hard to grow?

Mark: No, they're not hard to grow; but, you do need to know what to do and do it. They're not very forgiving if you neglect them. Many orchids are killed with kindness and they actually thrive with a little neglect. Not so for Disas. They are the opposite. Disas thrive with pampering and they will quickly develop problems or even suddenly die if you get busy with life and forget about them for a short while. What they need in terms of care is not hard to do, from a technical viewpoint. However, from a practicality viewpoint, sometimes their needs clash with people's schedules and availability. So, either you need to set up automated climate controls and watering, etc.; or, you need to commit yourself to making a little time each day to check your Disas. Check out my other Disa threads here on ST for more tips.

Botany Boy....LOL! They do look good enough to eat! I should licence my photo to Ben & Jerry's for use on the carton.

Tyrone, I have been making outcrosses so far; but, you've got a point. I will try doing a few selfings of these as well. I don't currently have any yellows.
