I think it is not wentworthianum. That is a colorful one. I think it is a somewhat variable species...I wish I could get one like that here.
I don't know for sure, but the pictures in Lance Birk's book show two different flowers, one is colorful like yours and one has dull colors, different forms...yours is in between. If you don't have that book, I will take a picture of the pictures in Birk's book later for you.I think it is not wentworthianum.
Itis not wentw., it is a papuanum. Here is another one from IOSPE:
His opinion same as mine, its a hybrid.so what is Hilmar's opinion on the ID? Personally I really like your flower...the color is outstanding!
Yes, they are real ones, darker one is the Guadalcanal type.
I can’t tell and have never seen one but based on the photos here and in books, what you have is giving mastersianum-hybrid vibes. God I wish orchidists would use DNA technology. Either way, this flower of yours is undeniably spectacular. As I often say of your jewels, I hope you self it.This is my *wentworthianum* from Hilmar. Imho really looks like a dark, real one, but i saw the others from the same seedling and there are a lot different plants among them...View attachment 52222
