Hello,
One of my Laelia purpuratas is currently blooming. This is actually the first time that this plant has managed to flower for me. Previous years were sabotaged by a pesky snail or slug. I'm very pleased with the flower. Five flowers on one stem. Plant is in a six-inch pot.
I can't wait for my other purpuratas to bloom!
Best Regards,
Nik von Ruden
Edited to add: I forgot to mention that is has that delightful anise-like fragrance characteristic of the species!
