The Cat is beautiful. It could persuade me to break my Paph only rule.
I love the way caudatum buds look. One of my favorite bud-appearances. (Tho the bug-leg look of roths unfolding is pretty cool, too)
Second image paph is still growing. Brassavola has 2 spikes: one with 4 and another with 5 flowers
Wow, those are all absolutely beautiful. The first is an angraecum? How large does it get? and does it require substantially different culture than paphiopedilum? And would you know the name of the beautiful white cattleya? It is really spectacular.
Angraecum Leonis and it stays quite small compared to others: 4in pot. I water it just like my paphiopedilums and it seems to do good. Sometimes it needs more water and you will know when the fleshy leaves start to wrinkle. The smell is strong and kinda spicy, I like it. It just grows in small park and has thinner roots.
The white cattleya is, C. dolls f. alba. It has a lemmon sent. If you want the seller of the plant I could let you know
What a picture with those lush tropicals in front of snow covered limbs. I just did a little digging around on the internet for both of those plants, but if you have a supplier you would recommend I would love to hear about them. I told myself to stick with paphiopedilums until I got them figured out, but I can feel that resolve weakening. And I just got a lot of new grow space under lights so perhaps a little experimentation is in order.

I love it. You pick paphiopedilum to figure out and are some of the fussyest: sounds like me. It is rewarding having other plants that bloom more frequently and are easier. It evens out the long wait for some of these paphs. The sell i found on Instagram and IS THE BEST SELLER ever in my opption. He does not do paphs but has great plants and a lot of connections. Cattleya purpurata is going crazy with the roots. From krull smith and is putting up a new growth as soon as the old one stopped maturing: very vigorous.
Psychopsis orchid ready to bloom. This spike has been developing close to a year and is about 3 feet tall. I have been so impatient for this one as it has been blooming size for about 4 years

Wow! Look at those roots! I think those are almost as exciting as blooms. Have you grown Psychopsis before? I have one that was gifted to me. I had it probably six years before it bloomed for the first time this fall. Mine has produced five flowers so far. I would love to see a picture of yours when it is fully open. They make us wait so long!
I have been hesitating to ask this because it belies my age and ignorance but here goes....How does one go about ordering from vendors who don't have a web store but are only on Instagram or Facebook or....Do you just message them out of the blue and ask what is available?

This is my kovachii in spike. Im not sure if there is a trick for the flowers not to go south. I poted it in a 6" pot a month ago and as you can see it os already trying to fill the pot .. i also started a sour dough starter and named it Paul. 
Gorgeous flower. This is my first time growing this orchid and it's lucky the leaves are cool or otherwise it may have been.....
Anyways, with sellers on Instagram or whatever social media i usually try to get a confirmation with others they are trustworthy. After that you message them. They sometimes are organized, usually not, and have a pdf list. The majority seem to have this list in there brain
. You just ask what they have or give them a general to specific plant you are looking for. Usually you buy way more than you thought you would after only on the hunt for one plant. When you get all the plants you want you ask them to send you an invoice. This should include shipping: shipping is a hit or miss and you usually pay whatever as they don't have a computer algorithm, it not bad prices usually. Finally you pay them through PayPal or Venmo. It's a quick transaction and they 2 usually have a protection plan with businesses. I only have two people I have done this through. One is big on paphiopedilum and the other is big on cattleya and everything else. If you want more info on these two sellers directly message me on here.
