I posted these in an older thread, but I don't think anyone saw them. So I'll try again:

Angraecum cuculatum

Hammelwellsara June 'Indigo Sue' (Memoria Edmund Harcourt x Z. John Banks. I used a little Photoshop magic on this photo. Can you tell?

Beautiful plants and photos! Is either fragrant?

Might the Ang actually be Joyce Stewart (cucullatum x scottianum)? Most plants in cultivation labeled cucullatum seem to be the hybrid, supposedly due to a flask-labeling mixup when the Hoosier collection was being sold off.

This drawing is the clearest shot I've found of cucullatum's flower and vegetation, definitely pretty different from my Joyce Stewart which looks a lot like your plant.

Dot, I often take my boys diving off Madagascar. It is a magical place and we love our trips there. It is great to see that other people grow Angraecums as well. I have plants from a whole host of islands and from along the East African coast. Do you grow any others?
Your photos are superb as usual.

You are lucky to be so close to such a magical place. I only hope we humans don't destroy this unique land.

Yes, I have several Angraecums, and related genera. It's interesting that when I was introduced to this genus, my initial impression was "Well, they are all white and look the same." Boy, was I wrong!!!

Do you know about the Angraecum Society? It was formed about a year or so ago, and one of it's mail purposes is to save the species in situ Madagascar.

Beautiful photos! You are lucky to have such a gift.

That Angraecum is mislabeled. It is a hybrid, perhaps Ang. Joyce Stewart . Nice looking plant anyway.
