Yay! Look what finally showed up in the mail a week ago! 11 months after the award, but made a great photo opp that way, since the awarded plant is blooming again :)

Here's a group shot of all of them open at this time :) 'September' HCC is far left, middle is from the same pod and so is the one on the right ('Bear' x 'hen Hung'). The one on the far right is furthest from the camera and significantly larger than the other two, but a little lacking in the finer points :p The two non-awarded ones are still very lovely though, and I will probably keep a division of them around. Someone from my local society already bought one in bloom last year of the bigger one :) There are two or three more to go, so I'll try to post more and better pictures once they're open as well!

Yep, I've been rockin' a pretty nice little forest of henry's and barbi's in the fall lately! :p The largest pot of henry's didn't bloom this year (blasted one sheath early on, but to be fair that was the one that had 4 blooms for a 1st blooming last year. I don't even want to say how good the barbi show looks to be this year for fear of jinxing  I may have a twitch from nerves from waiting to see how the biggest one progresses...

I am beginning to appreciate the beauty of a henry now.
I agree and keep wondering why I never noticed until now?

They're gorgeous and not that much bigger than helenae, right? If they're small I think I'll toss my helenae out (I have a strong suspicion it's a dud) and replace it with a henry instead.
