Part of my new obsession with Brachy's and miniature paphs ...always liked them but receiving some plants from Tannacis sale has made me buy whatever i can now.....still on the hunt for a leuchochilum flask (Dean from Paphiness is helping me out) but if anyone has any leads, my ears are wide open
The pic depicts six deflasked compots from Sam's breeding, potted in 7 inch deep pots two inch layer of CHC and styrofoam beneath..i like to break apart the seedlings as much as possible to give the roots more access to water..seems to work for me..on previous deflaskings, I tried the antec method of just placing straight into pot with media manipulated b/w plants but they dried out too much(even with high humidity)
Paph. conco-bellatulum x sib ('Yellow Brute' x 'Heavy Stripes')
Paph. Bellatrix 'Red Pepper' x bellatulum 'Black Knight'
Paph. bellatulum 'Red on Pink' x Ichiro Suzuki 'Red Tiger'
Paph.Tokyo Black Knight 'Red Delight' x (Otogozen x leucochilum) 'B lack Tiger'
Paph. Ichiro Suzuki 'Black Cap' x Tokyo Black Knight 'Red Delight'
Paph. bellatulum x sib ('Burgundy Red' x 'Black Knight')

i also ordered Paph. niveum x sib ('New Dimension' x 'Jumbo II') as well as charlesworthii fma album flask that will arrive in two weeks

Looks pretty good. Please keep us informed as to how things progress. Also keep me in mind when some of those guys are husky seedlings. The species are what would interest me the most. Especially that niveum, and charlesworthii fma album that you will be getting soon.

Nice seedlings! They look terrific! I hope my order will come in two weeks as well from Sam. I been thinking about getting the same flask of niveum as you but my delenati vinicolor seedlings are overtaking my collection.

So easy to get addicted to these guys!
Sam certainly has plenty of temptations, and those are looking good!
April '09 Dean offered leucos, I got 2 different crosses & they have done really well, I'm looking forward to them blooming and don't think this spring would be too soon! Check out Monsoon Flora, many of us have gotten really nice stuff from them too!
It's interesting with the 'potting choices', I've done most as you did. I'm always worried that by keeping them in that lump if a bacteria, fungus, rot or whatever gets started it's too easy to loose them all in one swoop.

i buy from him aevery now and then

but i am actually looking for exceptional breeding with the leuchochilum flask...waiting for Dean to hook me up

did Sam happen to mention whether he has any luecochilim growing inthe lab???

i missed out on his leuco flasks the past few years since all i ever buy is roths lol. i have a couple of adult plants he got from thailand that have already bloomed for me but i wouldn't mind trying a flask.
