I suspect that with smaller, compact Phalaenopsis like yours, it has Phalaenopsis amabilis in the background. Likely more than once.
It is my favorite Phalaenopsis species. It promotes good flower count, keikie production, elongation and re-flowering on existing flower spikes. Some varieties produce branched inflorescences. Often times the flowers, while smallish, have pretty good form.

That's beautiful. The color is very sweet. And I have never seen an airborne keiki before.

The terminal keiki began to form just as the spike was about done blooming in the previous seasons. It was actually somewhat of a mess of plant and floral material until the plant started to differentiate. By this season it had developed to a size large enough to remove but I was surprised and delighted when it threw a spike, too.
