For those of you who are hobby growers, but wish to take advantage of auctions to part with duplicate- or unneeded orchids and orchid-growing stuff, but don't want to pay the associated fees:

If you are willing to work with me on a trial basis (I might get fed up and close it down if it or users misbehave), I have reestablished a public auction script on my website.

  • You must register with a true name, address, and email, or I will delete you.
  • If you want pictures, they must already be web-accessible (i.e., I cannot host them).
  • If you offer something, you must sell it to the high bidder upon receipt of payment.
  • If you win, you must pay for it.
  • ALL transactions are between the seller and the buyer; I am not part of this at all, (unless I'm one of the two).
  • I have - but will try to avoid using - complete tyrannical control. Offer something inappropriate or act poorly, and I will delete.

Just a few.

I know that "public" sites like this have failed before, but I don't recall why, so maybe I'll reinvent the wheel and rediscover it for myself!
