How good was the germination Ross?

The germination was very good. I requested 10 flasks got about 15 and could have had more, if I'd wanted them. I sold about 10 flasks and am growing the rest on to select breeders and sell.

Perhaps in another 3 or 4 years, you will see improved aureum flowers!

I most likely will wait to see a few more flowers before deciding which to use for the second cross. I look forward to seeing pictures from those who have purchased this cross from me.

Ross, I truley like that one. There is alot to be said for the smaller growing guys. Bloom out a bunch of these and then keep the best. Then keep me in mind for the NEXT to best plants ;-)

My guess is that they will be relatively consistent in shape and color in the F1 generation. Send me a PM, if you're interested in any.

Nice blooming! I've been watching mine carefully that I got from Ross! They've all got 2-3 starts and still look just as pristine of pot and media as the day I got them (I think the tags said they were repotted in Aug?). Really I think Ross must have some magic dust that gets sprinkled into the mix though, since my growing conditions are undoubtedly different, yet the mix has still stayed so nice!:rollhappy: Or it could be the nice drainage that doesn't keep spots waterlogged that might encourage algae to grow in clear pots. This site reminds me though - I should be working on unpacking some more and setting up my light stand again! Just moved from TX to the Tulsa OK area the beginning of this week!

As promised, here's a second picture taken yesterday. The most notable change is the curling of the dorsal edge. It was brought to an OSM meeting on a very dry, cold day, which might have affected the flower some.

Here's the picture of it when first opened for comparison.
