My first plant of this species just sat for like ten years and did nothing until it finally crisped up and died. This one, acquired as a seedling a dozen or more years ago, seemed hardier from the start. Now with three blooms open and a fourth spike/bud just visible above the rim of the pot, this one is an easier grower and regular bloomer for me. I'm afraid I don't keep it as wet as I'd like; it's up a bit higher in the greenhouse to stay warmer, shaded, in a 5" plastic pot in a medium bark mix.
