Paph bellatulum

I bought this in sheath at the local show in February. While I don't consider it award quality, I love it, and I always have hope for better future bloomings (this is a first timer) . I think it is as open as it's gonna get this time around.

Notice the fine reddish spotting around the edges and in the center of the petals (different from the maroon blotches) - while I haven't seen that many bellatulums in my time, this is the first time I've seen this. Has anyone else seen it and do you find it adds to or takes away from the flower?

I didn't know that but I'm glad to hear it! I can't wait to see how my other bellatulum turns out - maybe the two will make a good breeding pair.

The leafspan is 8.5", or about 21.5 cm.

I believe they do . This seems to be a species they keep in stock.

Bryon has told me time after time to send him pics and I never do. Perhaps I will.
