Thanks eveyone! This is the plant that I made a small division of and donated it to the ST auction. I forget who got it.

Wow  , That's an impressive blooming John !!!! Any special culture tip to bring it to flower ? Jean

No real special tricks, Jean. I grow it with low to intermediate light and cool to intermediate temperaturs in the summer. I refuse to put on the heaters in my greenhouse in June, July, or August; so, it gets many nights in the middle to high 50'sF during the summer except when we are having extreme heat and the nights are un the upper 60'sF to lower 70'sF. During the daytime, the temps normally get up to about 78*F to 85*F. I let it dry out fairly well inbetween waterings....probably more than I should; but, I also think that the dry stress is why it blooms!

Dido, it is growing in a mix of fine bark and perlite....probably about 50/50.

Rick, yes, your plant should be big enough to bloom....unless the roth parent was one of the older giant clones. However, the fact that it is multigrowth and they are all in the 30cm range tells me that it's already at it's mature size. The leafspan on this plant is around 25 to 30 cm's as well.

Yes, I guess this can now be called a specimen plant. Or, it will be very soon!

Justin, no, I won't be exhibiting this plant. As nice as it is, I think the forward rolling of the petal edges is a big enough fault to prevent it from being awarded. But that doesn't matter to me. I still love it's form and colour and the fact that it actually blooms for me!

I dont really like hybrids...

Thanks for the tips, John. I can get either of mine to bloom! The color on yours is exquisite!

Thanks John; maybe I should give mine less light!! It flowered only once until now, and the only bloom was dramatically disfigured  ! Jean

john is a jewel.
delicate color too ,I love this type of shades .

Thanks again, all.

Angela, a tummy rub for Charlie has been delivered and gratefully received!

NYEric; I think the rolled petal edges is a feature of this clone and not because of a lack of water. All the flowers last year and this year were rolled at least a bit. In person, the blooms are even more attractive than in the photos, regardless of the petal rolling. It's just nice to have a nicely coloured Delrosi that blooms and does not produce grotesquely deformed blooms.

Sounds like you have a tough clone Jean. I think that is the secret with this cross. Get a clone that flowers easily. I have two different clones of Delrosi and they both flower easily without any special treatment. But I have a huge Iantha Stage which I have never flowered. Sitting next to the Iantha Stage is another one which has flowered twice in 6 months. Same treatment but only one flowers.

Thanks again, all.

The rolled petal edges is pretty typical for this cross. What sort of size are the flowers John?

Oh WOW! The blooms are just gorgeous.
I was the one who won a division of this.
I still didn't kill it and it grew a whole new leaf! :)
