This plant used to belong to Wendy. It grew really well for her; but, her warm grow room didn't suit it for flowering. When it tried (about this time last year), the flowering sheath aborted. So, last January, she gave it to me; hoping that my cooler greenhouse conditions would make it happy and bring it into bloom someday. This is the plant's first successful bloom. It has 6 mature growths with one inflorescence currently carrying 2 flowers and one bud. It's a big flower at 19.5 cm natural spread from petal tip to petal tip. The dorsal sepal is 5.7 cm wide; petals are 4 cm wide and the pouch is 3.6 cm wide.
This is also the first time that I've bloomed this cross. I LOVE IT! Thank you so much Wendy!
