This i was interested to see...better then i had pictured in my mind honestly. Ill be very interested to see more! Congrats!

Amazing patterns. I like the pouch, except for the color break. Otherwise, it's quite nice. Do you have these for sale?

Considering what a breeding touchstone F.C. Puddle was, perhaps fowliei alba x niveum might be a good choice...

Here it is: Paph Mariam Vargason Hella = fowliei album x niveum. I named it in honor of my 90 year old aunt on her birthday.
Was that quick enough for you Tim?! :poke:
It's very nice, nice goin' Ross!:clap::clap:

weird result. Too much color there...and the plant is huge!

I was thinking that since Astarte had niveum in it, you might be able to stay small by just using niveum. Astarte, the parent of FC Puddle which makes it white and contributes the brachy, is Psyche x insigne v. sanderianum. Psyche is of course niveum x bellatulum, but would probably be a little large for your program.

I'd love to hear some explanations of the huge plant size...sorry man!! Looks like a dead end!

This is the first to bloom. Several others are ready to bloom, but are smaller. Chalk the larger size up to hybrid vigor. I had hoped for suppression of color by using the album form of fowliei, but really didn't expect it to work. It has something to do with the genes for color suppression not being located in the same spot of the DNA strand of both parents. Someone versed in genetics could explain it better than I.

All things considered, it's a fairly pretty flower on a nice, tall stem.

Ross, I like them both. I think the shape on the fowlei x godefroyae is wonderful, and have hope that you'll get some out of the cross with the coloration you're going for on the pouch. I must say that I'm very partial to the Paph Mariam Vargason Hella you posted pictures of, though! It's absolutely breathtaking and It's nice that it has a sentimental name, for you
