Very nice and I love the veining as well.

How big is the plant, I can see the growths but I can't judge the leafespand from the picture. The plants looks very compact.

The biggest growth would be 42 cm (16 inches) LS. I'm sure when I bought this division the growths were a bit bigger still. My growths are steadily getting bigger.

SUPER SWEET!!!!! Congrats on both trophies. Did you get the HCC/AOC during the show as well or had the plant already been awarded??? Those flowers are intense for veins!!
Did the dianthum get a flower award?

Thanks Rick. Our Autumn show is only small, so there are not enough judges to get things awarded. I got the Harold Koopowitz awarded in 2009 at our Spring show. I think it is better than a HCC. It was judged on flowers that were over 3 months old and had a couple of defects which would have cost it points. The flowers dropped off within a week of being judged so they were clearly not at there best when awarded. I may have a chance to get things judged at the end of this month if they are still going.

Stunning flowers! Congrats, David -- you sure can grow Paphs!

Thanks Dot. You know it is in only last couple of months I've been really happy with the way my plants are growing. Since implementing Rick's recommendation of low K and high Ca and Mg, my plants have really taken off. Bigger growths and increased numbers of new growths. So hopefully the best is still ahead. :)

!!
Is that one plant!?!? Caramba!

Yes, one plant. I'm finding Harold Koopowitz to be a vigorous grower in general. I have an unflowered seedling which has now put out 3 new leads. At this rate it will be a specimen plant in no time. Hopefully it will flower soon.
