First bloom seedling from a flask I purchased from Woodstream Orchids.

I’m trying to decide if I like the flower or not. The shape is not bad but the colors are rather dull. It’s trying to decide if any virens is in it.

At the same, not a common species to see often these days. So for that alone, I enjoy seeing it.

It would be interesting to see the rest of flask bloom out.

So interesting. I have a piece of the dark western form that I’m still trying to get to root 2 years after it arrived as “well-established division.” Now down to 3 young leaves. Sigh. Anyway, this photo is pretty much the opposite of my purported orange-red/dark green flower.

These are quite normal P. javanicum, at least in my eyes, and they all are very pretty. Congrats!

Hopefully mine (mid bud) will bloom at the same time too. It is the var floresianum type with deeper green and orange highlights I think.

I got one from Sam a couple of months ago. Excited to see it bloom but not in bud currently.
