This cross originated at the Orchid Zone. It is Wawona Maiden x charlesworthii. Wawona Maiden is Hellas x charlesworthii, which makes this cross 3/4 charlesworthii. Thanks, Tim!:)

I have no idea how others from the cross turned out. This one was selected for me last December, when it was in bloom. This is its first blooming for me.:)

I have seen a few hundred in bloom at OZ. They are all of the same flavor but this one is one of the better ones of the cross.
In total, I think OZ has bloomed a couple thousand. The best ones are "knock your socks off". A few are pictured on the OZ website.
Many are tough to tell apart from straight charlesworthii. Interestingly the easiest way is the foliage. These generally have much larger leaves than charlesworthii, which generally have diminutive leaves.

Charlesworthii is among my favorite slippers. I've looked at the King Charles pics at the Orchid Zone website. They are really wowsers. Thanks for sharing! :)

I have one in bloom, too. I didn't know it's name, though. Mine has a very severely reflexed dorsal, but otherwise is similar.
