The flowers are all opened and the stalk is very strong. Staking it would just make it look odd

no award...I am guessing the judges thought the plant was still a youngin and had a lot more growing to do..the flowers were small compared to many awarded ones

Too bad about no award, did it get pulled at least for AOS judging? It is an impressive show to me : )

It was pulled but from what I could tell the judges were apprehensive about giving it an award because it was smaller than other awarded flowers.

no biggie.. our judges are really tough on sandy hybrids..so I wasn't expecting an award
