Thats a small pot and a lot of visible roots, maybee it would preform better next time. If you give it some fresh compost in a bigger pot ?.

Its a fresh medium, remove it all year, this one has to be replaced in April.
Since I use smaller pots some of them doing better for me.

If the pot is too big, they stop blooming for me.

Better, yes! But, it may be something else going wrong next time. Good luck!

i would be interested to hear your opinions of whether or not a high degree of malformed flowers is the result of inbreeding depression / weird allelic combinations following 4-5-6 generations of sib-crossing of this grex for cut flower production...any opinions out there? I have seedlings in the lab of f3 Valerie Tonkin....is this what I should expect?

Most of the recent siblings I have seen of Lippewunder have bloomed malformed like this one. It doesn't seem to be a problem with the F2 or F3, but after that recombination seems to be quite negative. I would hope your Valerie Tonkin would turn out okay, but obviously you won't know until they are bloomed. Lippewunder is a wonderful thing when blooomed well, it's a shame that these plants are so contorted.
