Yes, it was a collaboration between myself and another gentleman. He had Skip Bartlett in bloom, but did not have any other suitable complex Paphs in bloom, so I "volunteered" my Hellas 'Sunset'.

very nice! I was wondering about NS too...the petals look nice and wide.
Like many Skip Bartlett crosses, the plant is quite compact, at least on its initial blooming. Many grow on to be larger plants as they mature.
The flower and plant are both on the small side, yet.

Registered in 1988 by Terry Root of the Orchid Zone. I like the name. It's easy to remember and grabs one's attention; and I bet there might be a story behind it.
