Paph. Memoria Jim Asher

This was named by Graham Wood of Lehua Orchids, in honor of a well known Paph. researcher and taxonomist who died years ago. The cross is Judge Pinocchio 'Excess' x henryanum 'Another Double'.

Unfortunately, no. In fact, it opened flat and is now reflexing.

With color and markings like that I wouldn't complain too much about a reflexing dorsal. Looks like a nice compact plant too. Easy? More flowers coming?

It's sure nice to see someone memorialize Jim with a plant named after him. He sure did love his Paphs.

Nice to get a name for this hybrid.

I picked one of these up earlier this year, and I have to say, it's an incredible flower. Large for the size of the plant, colorful, and good substance. Plus, it seems to be a vigorous grower, and small in size. Probably my favorite surprise find of the year.

One more bud so far. But I think that will be all on this first blooming.
