Here is first bloom for Paph philippinense aureum. Really compact grower!

That pink margin to proximal petal edges makes this a very attractive bloom. Exciting plant, congratulations (but not a true alba, perhaps fortunately, I would much rather own this!)
 
"He" is a "she" Stephen...(Jennifer under her PIC) and I agree with you. Look how transparent the petals are. I can see the stem of the second flower coming through the first.

Yes, the compact growth habit is what interested me too. It is a multigrowth plant and the maximum leaf span is 10 inches. It only bloomed after it established a number of growths.

Someone please describe the difference between aureum and album. I understand album, but apparently not aureum.
My wild guess is that aureum is maybe the same as albesence? Not pure alba in other words but alba with some pigmentation. Just a guess.
