This is a plant I mentioned on Ricks (slipperking) thread of William Ambler, so I hope I've also named it right. It's William Ambler x roth "New Horizon" FCC/AOS and it's a plant I got last year from Sam @ Orchid Inn. Please with the dark colours and 4 flowers for a first time bloom.

Nice Gary! Can you give us a straight on shot of one of the flowers? It takes after its W. Ambler parent very much so. I have the exact cross from Doug. The roth New Horizon clone is James, Hilo Orchids newest FCC plant. I believe he made the cross.

That does look great. Nice tall spike with well spaced flowers. As Rick requested it would be nice to see a front on shot of the flower.

That's funny, I've bought the very same cross from Sam last year too, and its currently carrying four flowers just like yours. Yours is very nice.

Hi Rick,

Here is a straight on shot.

Thanks Gary. Impressive how strong the wilhelminiae is influencing the outcome of this cross!
Carsten,
How does your clone compare to Gary's? Can you post yours?

I took a couple of quick pictures with my telephone:

Flowers are six weeks or so old.

Thanks Carsten. Yours clearly shows more roth coming through then Gary's plant. Mine will probably spike some time next year and I'm expecting at the very least, 4 flowers.

Colours also seem lighter but again an excellent bloom Carsten. I think these plants have big potential and if the last 12 months are anything to go by, it will be a serious multigrowth plant within a few years and hopefully te flower count will increase.
